We have a lot of tools in our toolkit that help our clients excavate the things that will resonate best with those they seek to serve and connect with. Our process has been influenced by a number of great thinkers in the business world and here are a few:

Everyone has superpowers.
Your superpower is the role that you are put on this Earth to contribute. It’s what you do better than anyone else on your team. Tapping into it more often will not only help your team, but you’ll find your work more satisfying, too. We use a fun tool created by the esteemed business strategy and innovation consulting firm SY Partners aptly called “Superpowers”. It has helped our team along with countless others discover the best of themselves and how to leverage it for extraordinary results.

Your “Why” is everything.
The famous organizational psycologist, Simon Sinek said “People don’t buy what you, they buy WHY you do it.” People connect with brands emotionally, based on a number of data points and biases. They will either evangelize for you or against you depending on thier experience. Today, Simons’ principals are widely known and a venerated axiom for many companies but it stands the test of time and every company must seek to understand it’s “Why”.

Seems like these are straightforward and simple. But this is the ongoing and intricate work that the best companies in the world never take for granted. In 2020, during the pandemic lockdown, our team read Beyond Entrepreneurship 2.0, Turning Your Business into an Enduring Great Company, by Jim Collins together over Zoom. We were so inspired by the principles in the book that we went through our whole process and reinvented how we reach these three tenets with each of our clients. The results have been remarkable. Question Everything.
We get to know you up close and personal. We seek the essence of what makes your company tick and bring your vision to life by listening to you, your customers, and analyzing data (one of our favorite parts of the process).

Ideate and Iterate.
Like the “Flux Capacitor” in Back to The Future, this is the mysterious part. We take all that we learned about you and put it into our idea machine and after a few weeks… the magic emerges.

Map It.
If you want to remember where you’ve been and know where you’re going, you have to map it. We develop a customer journey where the objectives, initiatives and strategy for getting there is all mapped out.

Build It.
Once we know where we are going together, then we build the rocket ship that will get us there. We do this with a mix of design, technical expertise, market knowledge and a little bit of superpower blend.

Strategy IS an imaginative act. And narrative is how it thinks, expresses itself, and brings others along. Whether expressed as conversation, brief, or presentation, strategy is meaningless and powerless without words. If you can’t put your strategy into words others cannot follow.
